Im a self employed technician who runs a company selling and servicing High Power Amplifiers (Klystrons and TWTs) for the Satellite Broadcast Industry. Being a technician (as opposed to a degreed engineer) I find myself looking up a number of things when it comes to repairing a new or unfamiliar circuit. A number of times, I need a formula that I dont use often enough to memorize and it takes time to figure out exactly where I should begin solving my (or the customers) problem. Some things Ive created short cuts in my head to use as I do them all the time, but for those things that I dont keep in my head, this app either fills the gap or has the potential to!!! Each subsection is laid out nicely for data input and has a sample entry to quickly give you the gist of entering the data. An INFO icon in the lower right hand corner takes you to a page giving the formulae used in the calculation process. Granted, there are no descriptions of the variables on this page, but if you need to go much past the data entry page to get the info you want, you should probably get out your Electronic Engineers Handbook anyway! This app is for getting a quick answer to an immediate concern!!! As it grows and the writer adds more and more functionality, Im sure this will become a "Technicians Best Friend!!!" Its well worth the few dollars you spend on it as time is money!!! The writer, Tom Gruber, is also very responsive to his customers! I sent him a note saying that I liked his app and made a few suggestions for expansion. In less than 24 hours I heard back from him! Thats service!!! This App has the potential to be an Engineering Handbook in your pocket!!! Its well on its way to being that now!!! I highly recommend you purchase this app and if you dont see something you need…ASK!!! Im sure Tom will do his level best to accommodate your needs!!! After all…being quicker and more productive is what technology is all about! This app will help you be your best!!!!!

This app has everything I need for field work. It does lack connection pinouts, but other apps have that information. It would be nice to have it in one place -wink-dev
